More than 100 prep students settled in beautifully at Bridgewood Primary School in Officer this week, after commencing their first day on January 30.

The eager-to-learn students said goodbyes to their parents, carers and siblings before being introduced to the ‘7 Habits of Happy Kids’, a core program at Bridgewood Primary School.

“They have focused on ‘Habit One – Be Proactive’, and next week they will continue to work through the habits,” Bridgewood Primary School assistant principal Maree Jarrett said.

“The children have all taken a tour of the school in their mentor groups, and everyone has enjoyed seeing them around the school.

“Students were very much advantaged by the strong transition program last term and in particular the additional extensive transition with the Bridgewood Kindergarten. They have even had their kinder teachers popping in!

“It is a very exciting time in Learning Community One.”

Once the Bridge to Learning habits-based program is complete, the students will be ready to start their academic year.
