All inbound lanes on the South Gippsland Highway are closed between Pound Road and Greens Road in Dandenong, due to a collision near Greens Road.
All inbound motorists are being detoured onto Pound Road and then the South Gippsland Freeway.
VicRoads advises motorists to get onto the South Gippsland Freeway early or seek another alternative.
There are now delays inbound on the South Gippsland Highway, Pound Road and the South Gippsland Freeway.
VicRoads is monitoring traffic in the area and adjusting traffic lights to assist with congestion, where possible.
Emergency services are on site and working to clear the scene.
The site is under the control of Victoria Police and VicRoads is unsure when the inbound lanes will re-open.
