Teen charged over stabbing

The 18-year-old man was stabbed twice by gatecrashers at a teenage party in Kooweerup.

A teenage boy has been arrested following reports of a man being stabbed on Ballarto Road in Kooweerup about 1.20am on Sunday 17 December.
The mother of the man, who was allegedly stabbed twice by gatecrashers at a party, is fuming.
“It just makes me so angry,” Kelly-Anne Murphy posted on Facebook.
“I got the news that no parent wants to hear, that my son was in hospital and had been stabbed at a party that he and his mates had been at, minding their business and just having fun.
“They went there with knives purely to cause havoc.”
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.
The 18-year-old Carrum man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 17-year-old Hillside boy was charged and bailed, and is expected to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
