Stolen plates seen on runaway car

PLATES pinched from a broken down car in Pakenham were spotted hours later on a luxury car in Hampton Park.
Police attempted to intercept the luxury vehicle, but it managed to elude police and has not been seen since.
About 1am on Thursday 12 May, a 98 Nissan Pulsar broke down on the Princes Freeway between Cardinia Road and McGregor Road.
When the owner returned to the vehicle about 4.30pm the next day, the registrations plates were gone.
The owner reported the theft to police who revealed the plates had been spotted on a blue Audi in Hampton Park at 11am on Friday 13 May.
