Jewellery taken in busy day for thieves

THIEVES who stole thousands of dollars worth of jewellery from a Guys Hill home are believed to be responsible for attempting to steal property from an Upper Beaconsfield shed about the same time.
Between 8am and 8.45pm on Thursday 12 May, a Barnes Drive, Guys Hill, home was broken into by offenders who rifled through the home.
Police said the owners reported drawers being left open by offenders who vanished from the scene with $2000 worth of jewellery.
About the same time, a Manestar Road property was also targeted.
Police reported offenders forced entry into a shed and attempted to steal a small tractor with a slasher attached.
It is believe the two incidents are related.
