Students enjoy fair effort

A COUNTRY fair attracted plenty of cowgirls and cowboys at Beaconhills College recently.
There were 21 stalls including four college houses raising money for various charities.
The Parents and Friends Group worked hard cooking and selling more than 700 sausages and raffle tickets.
Campus principal Richard Prideaux said senior school students helped make the event a success by helping organise races, football-kicking competitions and the popular gumboot-throwing and (rubber) chicken-throwing events.
Other hotly contested events included the Prep car race and junior school tug-of-war.
“All in all, it was a very happy, very busy affair and a wonderful celebration of our college community,” he said.
