EXPECTANT mums, new parents and young families turned out for the annual Pakenham Pregnancy Baby and Kids Expo on Saturday.
Organiser Michelle Newton said it was the third expo that provided families with a range of information and advice on children and raising a family as well as it offered fun activities and plenty of interesting stalls.
She said it was another successful event at the Cardinia Cultural Centre.
“It was a fantastic day with around 700 people coming along,” she said.
“We gave away over $2000 worth of raffle prizes and raised over $4000 for cystic fibrosis.”
Each year, the organisers choose a charity to raise money for, and this year they chose a cause close to many in the Cardinia Shire.
The Kingsley family in Pakenham have been touched by the disease as youngest son Hudson has cystic fibrosis.
Hudson’s mum Erin was touched that the proceeds were going to Cystic Fibrosis Victoria, a worthy organisation.
“Erin, Hudson and the whole Kingsley family came along and had a fantastic day, too,” Michelle said.
