Under-serviced

I am just writing to express my concern over the lack of facilities and shops on the Army Road side of Pakenham.
With the abundance of houses and land estates being built, such as Falling Water and Cardinia Lakes estates, where are the shops and facilities being built as well?
With a huge influx of first home buyers soon to be living in the area near the Pakenham Hills Primary School, there must be some sort of shopping facilities provided for the ever-growing community, instead of the laborious long drive into Main Street, Pakenham. With this large influx of people, it is going to place a huge strain on the resources, parking and traffic congestion in Main Street.
With more and more people moving into the Pakenham area, I would like to propose to the council and land developers, that a shopping facility be placed on the agenda, as a priority, for around this area of Pakenham. There are highly priced milk bars in the area, but this is not good enough for residents in the area.
As a busy working father, I would like to walk with my 10-month-old son in his pram to some local shops, to do some shopping, instead of the hassle of having to place him in the car and drive into the Main Street shops. I am sure there would be a large number of mothers in the area who would agree wholeheartedly.
I would like to hear from any land developers and the Cardinia Council, on what they propose to do to entice young families to stay in the area, as my family is having second thoughts about moving to this fresh and new area of Cardinia.

Pakenham.
