A free virtual workshop to highlight the importance of good waste management in and around households will be held by Cardinia Shire Council and Casey Cardinia Libraries.

Community members are being invited to the ‘All Things Reusable’ workshop which will give an insight on how people can reduce waste at home, with a range of sustainable examples, tips, and home set-up ideas.

The workshop will also feature a question and answer session for participants to ask any of their zero waste queries.

Taking place on Sunday 12 July from 10.30am to 12pm, the workshop is the perfect opportunity for residents to celebrate Plastic Free July.

Plastic Free July is a global movement that encourages people to be part of the solution to plastic pollution in order to create cleaner streets, oceans and communities.

The initiative encourages residents to reduce their use of single-use plastic waste at home, work, school and even the local café.

More information about Plastic Free July can be found at: www.plasticfreejuly.org

The session is free for all Cardinia and Casey residents with registration essential and limited places.
