A free digital careers expo promises to provide VCE students with answers to all their post-school questions, from the comfort of their own home.
As students and parents try to deal with the uncertainty caused by Covid-19 and its impact on the already stressful Year 11 and 12 experience, InspirED, a student success company, has partnered with major universities and higher education providers across the country to put together the expo to help students, parents and schools navigate the months ahead.
Across five days from 17-21 June, education experts and inspirational students such as Ivan Zelich and Kirsten Banks, will share their stories and provide their top tips for a successful VCE journey.
Experts from over 50 universities, including local providers like Monash University, as well as other tertiary providers like TAFEs, senior teachers and markers will all come together under one digital roof, accessible by family homes across the state.
From their ‘virtual booths’, advisers will take one-on-one questions via chat and video chat on courses, early entry, and scholarships, as well as demystify the latest admissions advice during these uncertain times.
The announcement that Year 12 exams will go ahead has left many students, parents and schools increasingly anxious about how best to prepare for the exams and further education applications.
As well as accessing free virtual lectures from senior teachers and markers on exam success and remote learning advice, students will be able receive tips for building resilience during this stressful time.
