Police have confirmed that a man walked into Casey Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest at about 12.30am Wednesday.
The 41-year-old Berwick man was transferred to another hospital he remains in a stable condition.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
