On the way to Upper Beaconsfield, many a curious child, roadtripper or photographer has paused at the site of goats watching the passers-by from the comfort of their own cubby house.

Painted in bright yellow, red and green, the little house are an intriguing sight – and yes, it was purpose built for the goats.

Jules Girotto lives at the property and says her father in law built the cubby house to keep the bearded caprines entertained. At Christmas the miniature property is even decked out with lights to get into the festive spirit.

They’ve taken to their abode with relish, and the sight has left a smile on many a passer-by’s face.”People have dropped letters in the letterbox saying ‘thankyou, we love coming past your property’,” she laughs.
