Coffee and conversation with police

Pakenham Police invite the community to join them for a coffee at the Grind Café this Thursday 24 May. From 10am there will be giveaways including mini footballs, hacky sacks, activities for the kids and coffee cups for the big kids. Most importantly there will be free coffee and the chance to chat to local police members about the issues that are important to you – all thanks to the Cardinia Community Safety Network.

Newcomers and Neighbours dinner

A Newcomers and Neighbours Dinner in Kooweerup will be held on Friday 25 May at the Kooweerup Community Centre. The event is designed for people to meet other locals, new residents, learn about the community, what’s where, who to contact, and to enjoy dinner with company. Tickets include a two course dinner, lucky door prizes, lucky seat prizes and nibbles. Drinks available for purchase. Tickets $20 from Stockdale and Leggo on 59971899.

Move night

The latest Star Wars will be screened at the Warragul cinema to raise money for the Bangladesh Education Project. The Bandarban Hills Churches of Christ currently have two hsotels that provide accommodation for 80 students from outlying areas where education opportunities are limited. A famring initiative is also beginning to create income that aims to lead to self-sufficiency. Adults $20, students $15 – includes supper after. Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser

Come down to Pakenham East Bunnings on Saturday 26 May from 8am – 4pm to support 4C’s by buying a sausage. All money raised will go towards helping families in need within the Cardinia Shire.
