IT will come as a surprise to many that local couple Fraser Selby and Emily Hewitt were married on Saturday 8 October in an intimate wedding with close family and friends.
The couple had not told anyone outside the invitees as they wanted to enjoy their day without the stress of leaving anyone out.
They announced the news on social media the following morning to a flood of well-wishers.
Fraser is a teacher at Clyde Primary School and heavily involved in the Pakenham Cricket Club.
Emily works in mental health.
The day was celebrated at Parnassus Function Centre in Drouin.
Fraser and Emily enjoyed five weeks in Europe last Christmas and moved into their new Pakenham home three weeks ago, so there are no honeymoon plans yet.
Perhaps, after cricket season!
