PAKENHAM Rotary has given $1500 to the GROW Foundation to look after the community.
GROW’S program focuses on mental well-being that encourages the use of personal resources to develop resilience and coping strategies.
The donation will let the foundation establish a local group to support people finding it a bit difficult to cope with life’s difficulties.
Pakenham Rotary will also be sponsoring a luncheon in the future to create awareness of GROW’s work.
The luncheon will feature Father Bob Macguire, comedian Don Jones and dance band The Silhouettes. Have a look in next week’s Gazette for more information on tickets.
