COULD you get a look at that face?
Koby, the eight-week-old border collie, has only been with his new Upper Beaconsfield family for a week but he is already melting hearts.
His adoring owner Melinda Bowd said her family of five had helped safely re-house over 28 foster dogs over the past few years, but now was the time to take on their dream pup permanently.
The lilac-coloured cutie will be a long-term mate to fellow pooch Boots, a pup the family saved but couldn’t bear to part with.
“Boots was one we fell in love that we decided to keep,” Melinda said.
“After fostering for so long, I always knew I’d one day get my own dog – my own companion to grow with and love.”
Melinda’s children Chelsea, Jake and Jaymie are thrilled with their new family member.
“I love watching my children adore him and bond with him and watching his crazy run around the yard,” Melinda said.
Though she said she hardly got a look in with the playful pooch while the kids were at home.
“I’m sure I will when the novelty wears off!”
Melinda said Koby ran on two speeds – either full bore or asleep.
“At this early stage, it looks like he may be one of those dogs with two speeds … he’s a funny bubbly boy, who loves his cuddles,” she said.
“He wrestles with leaves. He is still so very young and clumsy and forever falling over.”
