HEALTHY and fitness was on the minds of dozens of school kids as they participated in the recent Ride2School day across the shire.
Berwick Primary School students were met at the school gates by Gembrook MP Brad Battin on Friday 13 March who encouraged them to be active every day.
“I encourage students to get outside and be active for 30 minutes each day. It could be as easy as riding or walking to school or even playing their favourite sport,” he said.
Assistant principal Andrew Horsburgh said the number of students riding, skating or scooting to school had dramatically increased on the day to the point the school shed was overflowing with equipment.
