Young leaders hone skills

Aspiring young students have a chance to bolster their leadership skills.

BEACONHILLS College will host a major new seminar next week aimed at aspiring young student leaders or those wanting to enhance their leadership skills.
The inaugural Middle School Leadership Seminar on Thursday 19 March from 4-7pm is open to all interested students in Years 7 to 9.
The free seminar is workshop-based and will include a number of presenters from various schools, covering topics such as public speaking skills, leadership styles and interpersonal skills.
Organiser Robert Jacob has run similar events in the past and hopes this one will be even more successful.
“Like any seminar, it’s about networking. It is an opportunity for students from different schools with a common interest to get together and learn new skills,” he said.
“We hope it is something which will inspire students and equip them to be the best leaders possible.”
Dr Jacob plans to make the seminar an annual event.
Students wanting to attend should register by Thursday on Robert.jacob@beaconhills.vic.edu.au
