THE weather for the Bunyip Show on Saturday was like a summer’s day.
Show secretary Joan Harrison said it was a successful day with plenty of entries, fun activities for families as well as a strong focus on the agricultural side of the show.
“They had been threatening us with rain all week but it was a beautiful day,” Ms Harrison said.
“We had excellent entries in the dogs section with more than 620 dogs.”
There was also good numbers in the pavilion with plenty of crafts and cookeries, as well as laser skirmish for the first time, a native animal nursery and a pure-bred dingo.
“There was an emphasis on the animals, that’s what an agricultural show is all about,” she said.
“We had alpacas, a very successful donkey competition, dairy goats.
“We were very well represented with animals and with entries in the pavilion section.”
A discovery trail run by the Bunyip and District Community Bank was also a feature of the show this year.
Ms Harrison thanked the committee for running another great show as well as the Bunyip Scouts, CFA and soccer club who also helped out on the day.
