Recent heavy rains impacted the course on Saturday morning but it didn’t stop some great scores from being carded – particularly in B and C Grade.

Jarred Bester (30) took out C Grade with a fantastic score of 43 points to defeat runner up Duncan Campbell (29) by six. Anthony Franzi (14) scored 40 points to win B Grade from runner up Colin MacLean (13) on 38

And 35 points was good enough for Nick Gray (7) to win A grade from Jarrod Leontini (12) on 34 points.

Down the lines went to Mark Stewart and Geoff Percival 38, Chris Wheeler 37, Anthony Kemsley 35, Neil Atchison and Neville Taylor 34, and Yvonne Smith, Shane Franzi, Rob Nobelius, David Bell, John Pattison and David Leek on 33 points.

Nearest the Pins: 2nd Hole: Shane Franzi – 0.75m and 16th hole: Shane Dehaan – 1.40m.

David Saint (19) kick started the week in fine style by scoring 42 points to win Monday’s stableford competition from runner up Phillip Mott (16) on 38 points.

Alan Borch (26) scored 40 points to win B Grade from runner up Ron Parsons (26) on 38 points, with down the lines going to Bill McDonald 38, Ben Fitzpatrick 37, Colin Maclean 36, and Stewart Macdonald, Tom McDermott, Mick Boyd and Chris Kondarios on 35 points.

Nearest The Pins: 2nd Hole: Tom McDermott – 3.00m and 16th hole: Antonio Mafodda – 2.62m.

A good-sized field took part in Wednesday’s Australia Day Par event with Mark Stewart (17) and Chris McConnell (14) having a great battle in A Grade with both players scoring plus-6 for their rounds.

Stewart won on a countback, while Steven Van Roy (22) also had to survive a countback in B Grade after scoring 4up to win over Tony Penney (24).

Down the lines went to Shane Dehaan and Noel Bonne 4up, John Wilson, Bob Naismith, Harry Elaysie, James Dimtsas, Alan Borch and Tom Reid 3up, and David Calderbank, Ron Zomer, Dean Jones and Matt Yusoff with 2up.

Supercomp Back 9 winner was Shane Dehaan (17) with 4up.

Nick Gray (7) finished off a fine week of play by scoring 39 points to win Sunday’s stableford competition. Steely Mateariki (11) was runner up with 34 points and down the lines went to Brett Nowlan and Heath Barclay with 32 points.
