PREMIER DIVISION

ROUND 1

Beaconsfield capped off a brilliant day for the club, as the A Grade netball side captured a terrific win in difficult conditions against Narre Warren at Holm Park.

Despite the rain settling in during the match, the conditions didn’t slow down the brilliant brand of netball on display.

The Eagles got the jump early, leading at the first break 13-6.

And it paid dividends, as the Eagles only needed to win one more quarter to come away with the 48-37 victory.

Elizabeth Murphy was impressive for the home side, while Jemma Osborne continues her great start to the season.

Wandin, meanwhile, have secured an emphatic win over Doveton, 60-39.

The game had a slow start, with the Doves leading just 6-5 at the first change, but a 22 goal second term set up the win for the Doggies.

A blistering final term from Woori Yallock set up an entertaining win over Cranbourne on Saturday.

The scores were locked at 45 apiece at the final break, before a 23-11 fourth quarter led to the Tigers to a 68-46 victory.

Berwick’s defenders had a superb day on Saturday in its win over Pakenham.

The Wickers conceded just 21 goals in the 41-21 win.

At the attacking end of the court, Emma Clarke (19 goals) and Chloe Phillips (12 goals) led the charge for the winning side.

In the battle of the red and white, Olinda Ferny Creek have edged out Upwey Tecoma 48-45.

Melissa Martinov converted 29 goals, while Ashlee Howard also chipped in with five for Olinda Ferny Creek.

For Upwey Tecoma, Samantha Silvester was a handful, shooting 36 of her sides 45 goals.

DIVISION 1

ROUND 2

Seville has notched its second win from as many matches, with a brilliant 59-30 win over Mount Evelyn.

Olivia Ray was terrific for the Blues, scoring 37, while Georgia Marsh was on fire for the Rovers.

Healesville took the chocolates in its clash against Belgrave, with both teams having a respective shooter on fire at each end of the court.

Samantha Munty scored 34 for Healesville, while Naomi Hargreaves converted 35 for the Magpies.

ROC continued a strong day for the netball sides, with a crushing win in the top flight over local rivals Berwick Springs.

The most the Roos conceded in a quarter was four goals, in the convincing 62-11 victory.

Samantha Neil was impressive with 27 goals.

In a huge day at the Emerald Football Netball Club, the Bombers got the edge in the A Grade netball clash with Gembrook Cockatoo.

The Bombers had one of the finest Anzac Eve ceremonies across the competition, and the netballers continued on with a clinical display of their own.

Emerald overcame the Brookers in the blitzing 49-21 win.

Tayla Shannon was huge for the home side, with 33 goals.

Monbulk had the bye, which in the netball competition accounts as a win, which keeps the Hawks only percentage outside the top five.
