Gale and strong wind warnings was in place for most coastal areas of Victoria on Tuesday 11 June and Wednesday 12 June.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, a strong wind warning was in place for Western Port on Tuesday 11 June, while a gale warning was in place for Port Phillip, West Coast, Central Coast, Central Gippsland Coast and East Gippsland Coast.

On Wednesday 12 June, gale warnings were enforced in the West Coast, Central Coast, Central Gippsland Coast and East Gippsland Coast, while strong wind warnings were out for Port Phillip, Western Port and Gippsland Lakes.

The Pakenham State Emergency Service (SES) unit responded to 11 storm jobs between 5am and 11am on Tuesday 11 June, with multiple crews responding.

The SES advised people should, if driving conditions are dangerous, safely pull over away from trees, drains, low-lying areas and floodwater and avoid travel if possible, and stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.

As of Tuesday morning, Pakenham was facing gusts of 46 km/h with an expected 5 to 10 millimetres of rain.

Rainy conditions were forecasted to ease later in the week.
