Rail towns honour ANZACs

Garfield and Bunyip held their own service on Anzac Day with locals turning out appreciate those who served and enjoy the special march and band through the town.

It’s a busy day for Bunyip RSL who run two services between Garfield and Bunyip in quick succession on the early afternoon of Anzac Day.

The day starts with Garfield at 1pm held at the war memorial on Main Street, then a service on Main Street, Bunyip infront of the war memorial at 2pm which includes a march and a performance from the Cardinia Civic Concert Band.

RSL President Colin Teese led the services, wreaths were laid at the memorials from Bunyip Fire Brigade, Bunyip-Garfield Rotary, Cr Graeme Moore, First Bunyip Scout Group, local schools and many more.
