Community members from across the Lang Lang district put on their walking shoes to participate in a Good Friday Appeal fundraiser on Sunday 2 April.
The Lang Lang and District Good Friday Appeal Fun Run/Walk attracted 60 participants, from fitness fanatics to families towing their dogs in trolleys, volunteer Cathy Fyfe said.
“We simply wanted to get people out together for a family friendly event,” Cathy said.
Participants either ran or walked 2km, 4km or 6km for the community fundraiser, held at the Lang Lang Foreshore Caravan Park.
A total of $600 was raised from participant donations, which will go directly to the 2023 Good Friday Appeal.
Tin shaking and door knocking will be conducted by volunteers around Lang Lang in the lead up to the Good Friday Appeal.
