Officer City Soccer Club is hosting a sports community leaders luncheon on Saturday 5 March, ahead of international women’s day on Tuesday 8 March.

The event supports the club’s commitment to gender equality as they pursue equal male and female participation by 2027.

The club received a grant from ‘Change our Game’, in collaboration with Cardinia Shire Council, to host the forum.

The event will bring together community leaders in grassroots sports, enabling them to share ideas and showcase achievements in increasing female participation.

Researchers and presenters from Victoria University (VU) will attend and share their knowledge.

Karen Pearce OAM, executive manager growth and inclusion at Football Victoria will also be in attendance.

Researchers and presenters will empower clubs to increase gender equality.

The seated luncheon will take place from 11.30am-3.30pm at the Cardinia Cultural Centre
