The Worrell Reserve public toilets in Emerald are set to be upgraded as part of a project kicking off in late March.

A new Exeloo type toilet facility with two gender-neutral fully accessible cubicles will be installed with a façade to complement the nearby Hills Hub building and surrounding environment.

Council has been working with the Worrell Reserve Committee on this project.

An accessible path from the existing footpath will also be installed as part of the project.

During the closure of the existing toilet, there will be public toilet facilities available for the community at Hills Hub and the Emerald Library during their operational hours.

24 hour public toilet access is also available at the Ferres Road and Puffing Billy Place facilities.

Works are expected to be completed by June 2022.
