The district’s best animals and produce will be on display in the 125th annual Lang Lang Agricultural Show this weekend, Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 January.

Cattle, sheep, poultry and the exhibit pavilion featuring cakes, crafts and plants will all be featured in Saturday’s line up, while the annual dog show will be on the Sunday.

Horse events will run across both days.

This year, the focus is on the competitors.

“We wanted to support the competitors who keep their animas in prime condition to show and then have had nowhere to show them,” Lang Lang P.A and H Show secretary Barbara Bullen said.

With the Omicron variant causing havoc, Ms Bullen said she was hopeful enough volunteers would be able to run the events on the weekend.

“You can only keep going until you can’t,” she said.

Spectators are allowed to attend, however there will be no side shows or rides this year.

It follows last year non-crowd event, which Ms Bullen said was a success.

“It takes a lot of volunteers to run a show, especially now with Covid-19 check in marshals at the gate,” Ms Bullen said.

“It’s tricky but we’re excited to be having a go.

“It’s very nice all the sponsors have come to the party and donated like they normally do.“

The Lang Lang Agricultural Show is a double vaxxed event.
