Officer residents have shared their frustration after damning home CCTV footage shows poor delivery driver behaviour in the lead up to Christmas.

An Officer woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, shared a video on the Grandvue Residents Group (Pakenham/Officer, VIC) Facebook page which showed a delivery driver throwing her parcel from the driver’s side of the van to her front door, earlier this month.

In an email seen by the Gazette, a spokesperson for Australia Post apologised for the incident and blamed “laziness” by the delivery driver.

“I have viewed and since on forwarded the footage to the delivery network for corrective disciplinary action with the driver,” they said.

“The article definitely should not have been thrown and a signature on delivery was to be obtained for this parcel.

“Again, I offer our apologies for the poor delivery performance. On this occasion it appears as sheer laziness and we will have it addressed.”

Fellow Grandvue resident Tina, who did not want her last name published, also shared a video of a delivery driver drop kicking her parcel at her front door on 5 December.

She said she felt “frustrated” after viewing the footage.

“It was a warranty replacement motor for my NutriBullet. Hopefully still works, but will find that out later when I test it,” she said.
