A former Officer pea farm has sold for a staggering $43 million last week.

The 12.3 ha Rix Road property is within the urban growth zone and garnered local and international interest.

The property forms part of the Officer Precinct Structure Plan (PSP), which allows for 15 dwellings per net developable hectare.

CBRE agent David Minty told the Herald Sun that three siblings sold the property after being beneficiaries of their late step-father’s estate.

“They weren’t wealthy people so this is completely life-changing for them,” Mr Minty told the Herald Sun.

“They’ve always been a private, courteous and respectful family. They may just maintain their same lifestyles — they’re not flashy people.”
