A Pakenham police officer has been fired over allegedly filming his wife’s friend while she was in the shower, according to statement released by Victoria Police.
The senior constable was charged for the offence in October 2019, however the charges were later withdrawn at court.
The former policeman, who was off duty at the time of the offence, allegedly used his mobile phone to film the woman through a bathroom window on May 12 last year.
An image that was allegedly captured by the victim after she suspected he would attempt to film her was published by The Age.The photo shows a mobile phone camera peeking through a window.
A Victoria Police spokesman confirmed the former officer had been dismissed by Victoria Police in September 2020, following a disciplinary hearing by Professional Standards Command.
