A series of webinars hosted by Anglicare Victoria aims to provide connection and information on common social issues.

Anglicare Victoria is hosting a series of webinars in the coming months to address issues raised by the community.

The first of the series, titled ‘Parents, feeling overwhelmed?’ will be held on Tuesday 30 June from 6.30pm-8pm.

This webinar is aimed at parents, guardians and carers who are feeling isolated or stressed following the extensive Covid-19 lockdown.

This will be followed by a second webinar on Tuesday 7 July, titled ‘Helping kids and young people thrive online’.

Hosted by the E-Safety Commissioner, this webinar is again aimed at parents and carers and will provide advice on things like talking to youth about harmful content online, relationships, online bullying and harassment, along with strategies for parents and their children and information on where to get assistance if things go wrong.

A web-based workshop in August will provide parents with information on the autism spectrum, including key features of the condition, strategies to use in the community and within the family, and where to get more information or assistance.

Another webinar will be held in September, with details to be released closer to the date.

All webinars are built around community feedback and based on issues that attendees at previous Anglicare Victoria events have raised.

They are designed to provide a place to connect with other like-minded parents and carers and are held online to ensure the safety of the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.

All webinars are free and provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

Attendees are required to register for each event and will receive webinar notes and additional materials afterwards.
