Gumbuya World will reopen to the public in a limited capacity from the end of June.

The popular Tynong North theme park will reopen on select days of the upcoming school holidays from Saturday 27 June.

Due to current Covid-19 social distancing restrictions, Gumbuya World has warned that a strictly limited amount of tickets will be available.

Gumbuya World CEO Ron Weinzierl said he was thrilled to welcome guests back into the park, after it was forced to close in March.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming guests back and seeing everyone have a good time again,” Mr Weinzierl said.

“We’ve been monitoring the advice and restrictions around Covid-19 and we believe we have a space where we can follow all the safety precautions.

“We think we can offer a fairly good experience level and we’re comfortable now that families will be able to enjoy the Wildlife Trail and the theme park.”

Guests will be required to social distance and keep 1.5 metres away from anyone outside of their group.

Every person entering the park will be required to provide their name and a contact phone number.

“People will need to buy their tickets online, and when they sell out, that’ll be it for that day,” Mr Weinzierl added.

“We think for the winter period, we’ll have enough people at the park and the experience level will be good.

“We are looking forward to these school holidays, and we’re looking forward as we progress towards the summer months.”

The park will be open on Saturday 27 June, Sunday 28 June, Saturday 4 July, Sunday 5 July, Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July.
