Young people are being encouraged to apply to become a part of the Cardinia Youth Services newsletter committee.

The community newsletter is a new online magazine (e-zine) that is distributed weekly on the Youth Services Facebook page and features information and tips for young people, activities such as puzzles and quizzes, coronavirus updates and more.

While the latest edition is out now, the Cardinia Youth Services team is on the hunt to recruit more people to help develop future editions.

Initially, the online magazine was developed to support the shire’s young people while Pakenham’s My Place youth facility was temporarily closed due to the coronavirus, however, due to its success, the publication will continue beyond the pandemic.

Young people living within Cardinia shire and between the ages of 12 and 24 years are eligible to apply.

Committee members will have the opportunity to be involved in the content creation and design of the e-zine.

Expressions of interest close at 5pm on Friday 26 June.

To apply, email your expression of interest to myplace@cardinia.vic.gov.au or contact the council’s youth services team on 1800 496 884 for more information.

Young people who do not want to be part of the committee can still submit content by emailing myplace@cardinia.vic.gov.au.
