A 33-year-old Drouin man has been charged with murder following a fatal collision in Yannathan.

It’s understood wanted parolee Luke Price, 34, was struck and killed on Heads Road, just after midnight on Tuesday 11 February.

Police believe Mr Price, from Officer, stopped his Holden Cruze and exited the vehicle when he was allegedly struck by a Holden Colorado.

The investigation into the fatal collision was originally being carried out by the Major Collision Investigation Unit but Homicide Squad detectives soon took over.

It’s understood both men were known to each other.

The death comes just two days after police issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr Price for breaching his parole.

The accused will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 12 February.
