The Beaconsfield community has demonstrated its outpouring support for the Gippsland Emergency Relief, raising $10,000 at the Central Hotel’s fundraiser day.
With all profits from the bar and bistro donated and donation tins roaming on Sunday 12 January, $7000 was raised.
Pub owners, three brothers Patrick, Francis and Fred made a decision to increase that amount to $10,000, with money from their own pockets.
“It was great seeing the community come together for such an important cause,” Central Hotel director Pat Deegan said.
“To have our staff and entertainment team donate their time was very special.”
