The team at Facey never expected a one-off fundraiser would evolve into an annual event celebrating its 25th year.

The specialist industrial commercial real estate, has worked to support the Cardinia branch of Make-A-Wish for a quarter of a century, through a gold tournament.

The tournament invites clients and colleagues to compete in the tournament which raises vital funds in support of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Over the 25 years, Facey has raised more than half a million dollars for the Cardinia Branch, which assists in granting wishes across Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs.

Facey director and auctioneer Graham ‘Josh’ Kendall said the charity had been “successful from the outset”, which began as a combined event with Casey Partners, eventually splitting into two events due to the popularity.

“Make-A-Wish does amazing work. When some of the wish recipients present themselves on the day, it is so inspiring to see,” Mr Kendall said.

“We are proud to have been able to support the branch over the last 25 years, and look forward to many more fundraisers to help them grant even more wishes.”

The 2019 tally surpassed previous years, raising more than $32,000, which was presented at a cheque presentation at Facey’s head office.
