A 24-year-old man has been charged following the alleged hit-run which left Pakenham icon Kelvin Rees fighting for life in hospital.
It’s believed Mr Rees was struck by a cyclist in the car park of Main Street Plaza about 8.20am on Tuesday 12 November.
The Morwell man, who was found in a nearby abandoned shed three hours after the incident, was charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury.
He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 13 November.
79-year-old Rees was airlifted to hospital where it’s understood he remains with life-threatening injuries.
