Polytrade Recycling will now accept and process 100 per cent of kerbside recycling material throughout the Cardinia shire.

The recycling processor confirmed to Cardinia Shire Council that all recycling will be processed from Monday 11 November.

It’s understood Polytrade had been accepting and processing a proportion of recycled material since August while they worked to upgrade facilities and increase their capacities.

Residents are asked to ensure all items placed in the yellow-lidded recycling bins are loose, with no bags.

Soft plastics, clothing, fabric, shoes and polystyrene aren’t to be placed in recycling bins.

Cardinia Shire Council has thanked residents for their understanding and patience throughout the state-wide recycling crisis.
