PRC names new CEO

New Pakenham Racing Club CEO Blair Odgers will start his new role in January.

The Pakenham Racing Club has announced the appointment of Blair Odgers as its new chief executive officer.

PRC chairman Simon Conn said Odgers was chosen in a competitive selection process from a strong field of candidates.

“We are thrilled to have someone with the experience and calibre of Blair join Pakenham Racing Club and look forward to welcoming him and his family to the club,” Mr Conn said.

“It is an exciting time for the club and with Blair’s leadership we look forward to capitalising on the many exciting and various opportunities that continue to present to the club across our three venues; Pakenham Racecourse, Cardinia Club and Club Officer.

“Blair comes to the club with strong business, event and racing management experience. He has served as CEO at Toowoomba Turf Club for the past five years where he has a proven track record of high performance. Prior to this Blair has worked for Racing Queensland and has a background in harness operations as well.”

Odgers succeeds Michael Hodge as CEO.

“We thank Michael for his outstanding contribution to the club and wish him all the best in his new role at Warragul Country Club.”

Odgers will join the PRC in early January 2020.
