Police intercepting a vehicle along Eagle Drive in Pakenham have allegedly uncovered an assortment of drugs with an estimated street value of over $200,000.

The officers were on a routine patrol during the early hours of Tuesday 10 September when they observed a stolen vehicle which was believed to have been driving with fake plates.

Officers searched the vehicle and found GHB, Methylamphetamine and 162 bottles of Xanax.

A 39-year-old driver, who was already on a Community Corrections Order, was charged with a number of offences.

The Carnegie man has been further remanded to appear in Court at a later date.
