Police nab several dangerous drivers

A Pakenham driver has been fined $484 after testing positive to drugs on Friday.

The Ford Focus was intercepted by Cardinia Highway Patrol on Eagle Drive in Pakenham at about 7.20am.

The 29-year-old man was charged for testing positive to methamphetamine and driving an unsafe vehicle.

His license was suspended for six months.

On the same morning, an unlicensed motorcyclist had his bike impounded after he has caught riding in Pakenham.

The 39-year-old Pakenham man was intercepted by Cardinia Highway Patrol outside Market Place at about 4.48am.

His black Honda motorcycle was impounded at a cost of $895.

At about 12.40pm that day, Cardinia Highway Patrol intercepted a Holden Commodore on Drake Place in Pakenham.

This was the third time police had intercepted him for driving on a suspended interstate license.

The 23-year-old Portland man will appear in court at a later date.
