Five teens arrested in Pakenham

Police have arrested five teenage boys following an incident in Pakenham on Friday 18 January,

An allegedly stolen Nissan Pulsar was sighted by police in Webster Way about 1.50pm.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle however it failed to stop and drove off.

The vehicle was seen a short time later in Livestock Way when the occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.

One of the offenders, an 18-year-old man was arrested nearby and charged with theft of a motor car. He was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning.

A search of the area with the assistance of local police and the Dog Squad located the remaining four offenders in nearby farmland.

Three boys, two aged 14 from Cranbourne and a 15-year-old boy from Cranbourne East have been charged with theft of motor car. They have all been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

An 18-year-old Brookfield teen has also been charged with theft of motor car and is expected to appear at a magistrates court at a later date.
