Police are appealing for any motorists who may have witnessed a single-vehicle collision at the South Gippsland Highway in Lang Lang on Wednesday 5 September.
Members of Cardinia Highway Patrol attended the crash just after 7am.
It appears the vehicle ran off the side of the road from the roundabout, where it hit a pole and came to rest against a metal barrier.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police believe the driver may have suffered a medical episode.
