Casey Comets continued on with the impressive run of State League 1 South East form with a 2-0 win over South Springvale at Comets Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The home side took a handy 1-0 lead into half time, and put the game to bed early in the second half with a strike from Dejan Radojicic, who scored a brace.

In State League 2 South East action over the weekend, Berwick City knocked off Frankston Pines 1-0 at Jack Thomas Reserve.

City took the lead in the 25th minute with Jarod Blackbourn hitting the back of the net, and from there, the home side held firm to take the win.

Doveton SC also kept up their winning ways, with the top of the table Doves winning 2-0 against Mazenod Victory at Waratah Reserve.

In State League 5 South, Casey Panthers defeated Bunyip 3-2 in a highly entertaining affair between the two rivals at Bunyip Recreation Reserve. In other games, Pakenham lost 3-1 to Rowville Eagles at IYU Recreation Reserve, Drouin Dragons lost 3-0 to White Star Dandenong while Endeavour Hills Fire proved too strong with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea FC at Power Reserve.
