A 58-year-old man has been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Officer in July.
Sexual Crime Squad detectives said the woman accepted a lift from a man on Princes Highway at Beaconsfield about midnight on Sunday 30 July.
She was allegedly taken to Starling Road in Officer where she was sexually assaulted.
A Warragul man was arrested and charged on 1 November with rape, sexual assault and assault with intent to commit a sexual offence.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Latrobe Magistrates’ Court on 2 November.
