Crafts raise cash for CFA

An assortment of goods will be on offer at the fundraiser for Gembrook CFA.

Visitors will be able to browse local creations of patchwork, quilting and associate handcrafts in picturesque Gembrook on 2 September.
Gembrook’s fourth Everything Patchwork and Quilting Market, a fund-raiser for the town’s fire brigade, will feature an array of local goods and demonstrations from 28 traders.
This day is a must for lovers of the craft, with attendees given the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including a sewing machine and overlocker, as well as an assortment of goods donated by local businesses.
The 2017 Victorian Quilters Travelling Suitcase quilts will be available for viewing for the first time, as too will be the hanging display of some challenge blocks.
The blocks are all based on the theme of blue, and the winner of the $100 prize will be determined by popular vote.
The event will take place on Saturday 2 September from 10am-4pm at the Gembrook Community Centre, Pakenham – Gembrook Road, Gembrook.
Entry is $5 and all profits go to the Gembrook CFA.
Light refreshments will also be available all day.
