CFA brigades were called to attend a fence fire at Salisbury House in Salisbury Road, Upper Beaconsfield, on Friday 23 June about 2.20pm.
The fire was quickly bought under control and there was no damage to any building or structure.
Residents of Salisbury House were not evacuated.
Police set up temporary road blocks to assist firefighters gaining safe access to the fire location. Although not thought to be suspicious, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Upper Beaconsfield Fire Brigade Communications officer Ian Pinney said the fire was a timely reminder for people to remain vigilant.
“Even in winter, given the right conditions a fire can take hold very quickly,” he said.
Brigades from Upper Beaconsfield, Beaconsfield, Berwick and Pakenham were in attendance.
