A stolen vehicle fled at high speed on Healesville-Kooweerup Road when the driver of the silver Holden ute sighted police at 2pm on Thursday 30 March.
It is believed the ute was involved in a petrol drive off in Kooweerup just before police spotted the vehicle. Police did not attempt to intercept or pursue.
The vehicle was again seen by police driving erratically on Ahern Road, Pakenham, and again police did not pursue.
The vehicle was last seen travelling east at high speed on the Princess Freeway and was later recovered in Pakenham.
Investigators believe the car was stolen during a burglary in Malcliff Road, Newhaven, about 2pm on 29 March.
