Dressing gowns, onesies and boxer shorts were the uniform of choice at Nar Nar Goon Primary School recently as it hosted a pyjama day.
The student-led Good Friday Appeal fund-raiser saw students ditch their typical navy blue threads for something a little more comfy in support of the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Organised by the Student Representative Council, all year levels and teachers supported the fund-raiser through a gold coin donation.
Teacher Keira Haigh said the students understood first-hand the importance of the hospital’s work.
“We have had a lot of our kids use RCH so they really understand where the money is going,” Ms Haigh said.
SRC member Bryce said the school was raising money for the Good Friday Appeal to help sick children who didn’t get the opportunities they did.
“Kids are sick and if they have enough money for their treatments they can go on to live a happy life,” Bryce said.
Students also took donation envelopes home to collect donations from family and friends.
