Stacey’s last ditch effort

The Wallara Weapon made an unconventional entry into the Yarra at the Moomba Birdman Rally.
The occasion overwhelmed Pakenham pilot Stacey Edwards.
The Sunday 12 March event saw her sending the aircraft into the drink from the four-metre platform while she remained on relatively solid ground.
Stacey was the competition’s first entrant with Down syndrome and the Wallara crew was proud of her efforts and their winged creation that was made from plastic pipe and laminated images of Wallara services and activities.
Their participation also raised funds for the south-east disability support service.
